Are you a new parent struggling juggling the demands of your bundle of joy alongside managing household tasks? Are you feeling down when everyone around you is telling you to "enjoy every moment", "they grow up so fast"? Maybe you have older children struggling at school and you're not sure what to do? Do you have children experiencing big feelings and you're not sure how to help them?
Seeing a psychologist is a way to gain a new perspective on a situation you are grappling with, or are feeling overwhelmed by. Psychologists also play a crucial role in identifying learning problems or other issues in children that may be preventing them from reaching their potential. Once problems are identified, appropriate supports and strategies can be put in place so they can live their best life.
Kristy is an experienced psychologist and primary school teacher, with a combined 20 years of experience. This means that Kristy has a unique ability to view her clients through an educational and psychological lens. Kristy collaborates well with schools and families to best support the children and young people with whom she works.
Kristy is also passionate about guiding people through the challenges of pregnancy and parenthood, particularly new parents. She has lived experience to draw upon as she has three young children of her own.
