Have you been feeling down or 'on edge' for a while and you're not sure why? Have you experienced something big recently or in the past that might be stopping you from living life to the full? Do you have a child experiencing big feelings at school and you're not sure what to do?
A psychologist can help you!
Seeing a psychologist is a way to gain a new perspective on a situation you are grappling with, or are feeling overwhelmed by. Psychologists also play a crucial role in identifying issues in children that may be preventing them from reaching their potential. Once problems are identified, appropriate supports and strategies can be put in place so they can live their best life.
Kristy is an experienced psychologist and primary school teacher, with a combined 20 years of experience. This means that Kristy has a unique ability to view her clients through an educational and psychological lens. Kristy's teaching background means that she is skilled at explaining psychological concepts in a way that is easy to understand.
Kristy is passionate about helping people live their lives to the fullest by working through events from the past. She will help you explore your home and school life growing up to gain understanding and insight into your present blocks or problems. Her sessions are an integration of various therapies, and she is heavily influenced by Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Kristy is a/an:
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) Practitioner. For more information on EMDR, see her video below.
- Registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Medicare Provider of Non-directive Pregnancy Support Counselling
